Storage

Used in combination with other anti-viral agents for treatment of HIV infection. These agents are specific in decreasing the viral HIV load found in the body. Oral (Tablets and Solution) Hypersensitivity reaction, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
Patients developing signs and symptoms of hypersensitivity (fever, skin rash, shortness of breath, nausea) should discontinue therapy immediately and seek medical evaluation. Ziagen should not be restarted following a hypersensitivity reaction. Ziagen should always be used in combination with other antiretroviral medications.
Ziagen tablets and oral solution can be stored at room temperature. The oral solution can be stored in the refrigerator, but do not freeze.
