HCG is used for induction of ovulation in patients who have been pretreated with gonadotropin therapy
Novarel® is supplies as a lyophilized powder requiring reconstitution and an included diluent of bacteriostatic water for injection. Novarel® should be reconstituted by withdrawing 10mL of the sterile diluent and adding it to the lyophilized powder – agitating gently.
Headache, irritability, restlessness, depression and fatigue HCG may contribute to fluid retention and should be used cautiously in patients with cardiac or renal dysfunction. Do not reconstitute until ready to inject. Following reconstitution the solution can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 60 days. The powder can be stored at room temperature.
