Antagon™ is a GNRH antagonist indicated for the inhibition of premature LH surges in women undergoing controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. Antagon results in the immediate suppression of gonadotropin & sex hormone activity and is used as an alternative to GNRH agonists.
Antagon™ should be administered by subcutaneous injection once daily during the mid to late portion of the follicular phase as directed by your physician. The injection should be given in the upper thigh or lower abdomen Common adverse effects include abdominal pain, headache, and injection site reactions. Rare but severe side effects reported include ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and vaginal bleeding Patients should be carefully monitored by blood work and ultrasound after the first injection. The packaging of this product contains latex, which may cause allergic reactions Product may be stored at room temperature below 77° F (25° C). Protect from light.
